Shaxi App Will Reduce Youth Unemployment– Shatta Wale

Celebrated Ghanaian Dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., known by his stage name Shatta Wale, has stated that the Shaxi driver’s app initiative launched to enhance ride-hailing in the country will reduce youth unemployment.

According to Shatta Wale, the Shaxi initiative was born-out of love for the unemployed ‘Ghetto’ youth in the country to support them gain meaningful jobs.

He said in a tweet,’ Well let me share this story with you today. Everybody that knows me knows I love the youth of Ghana and I always want to see them doing well. I want to see the boys and girls in the ghettos move from being unemployed into having gainful employment.

 

‘That’s how the #Shaxi dream was born. My team and I set out to create a sustainable business with a focus on employing the theming unemployed Ghanaians. That’s our drive and not profits. At the end of the day, we want to make an impact and leave our mark’.

The 1Don hitmaker also made a courtesy call to his followers home and abroad to support the Shaxi driver’s initiatives to help reduce youth unemployment in the country.

‘Shaxi is for not just Shatta Wale and friends, it’s a Ghanaian project for Ghanaians, so let’s all embrace it and make it happen. Thank you for your support and thank you to the entire team behind the shaxi project I couldn’t have done this without you.

Shaxi, a Ghanaian ride-hailing app/firm launched by musician Shatta Wale on Wednesday, 8 December at the Alisa Hotel, Accra to offer both the rider and driver a safe and convenient way to move.

The Chief Operating Officer of Shaxi, Winnie Mensah notes the vision is to revolutionize the ride-hailing market by providing ultra-luxury and conveniences through innovations and easy apps to use.

“We aim to help in the reduction of the unemployment rate among the youth by providing them with the opportunities to join this great organisation and initiative as drivers and providing them with additional skills, training to help them advance in life,” she added.
