2022 World Cup qualifiers: Milovan Rajevac names Black Stars starting squad for Ethiopia clash
Ghana coach, Milovan Rajevac has named his starting XI for the crucial 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia to be played later this afternoon.
The squad has the return of captain Andre Ayew who was dropped to the bench in the last game against Zimbabwe in Harare.
Coach Rajevac has put up a defensive pair of Celta Vigo’s Joseph Adioo and Daniel Amartey with Reading duo Baba Rahman and Andy Yiadm supporting at the full-back positions.
Also, leading the Stars attacking force will be Richmond Boakye Yiadom who is making a return to the squad after two years, he will be supported by Jordan Ayew and Kamaldeen Sulemana on the flanks.
The Black Stars currently sit 2nd on the Group G table with 9 points, a point behind leaders South Africa and will need a win in this game to increase their chances of qualifying for the world stage tournament to be hosted by Qatar.
The match is scheduled to be played at the Orlando Stadium at 13:00GMT.
Elsewhere, group leaders, South Africa will play Zimbabwe later this evening in the second fixture from group G.
