Hammer apologizes to Wendy Shay over song writing misinformation
Music producer, Hammer, has apologized to Wendy Shay for doubting her songwriting prowess.
after offending her with comments that her manager Ricky Nana Agyeman, aka Bullet, be credited for writing her songs.
Hammer in a recent interview praised the singer’s manager, Ricky Nana Agyeman, popularly known as Bullet for Wendy’s latest songs
Hammer asked that all credits be given to him, Bullet.
The comment has come on the heels of many people applauding Wendy Shay for her wordplay in her latest song, ‘Heat’.
However, Wendy Shay didn’t find the statement pleasing.
She replied in a social media post saying, “Almost every female artiste in Ghana has a songwriter but nobody really cares who writes for them but anytime Wendy Shay drops a hit song they want to credit everything to the so-called songwriter. Ghana wake up!”
After noticing he didn’t speak well, Hammer made a u-turn on his early submission and apologized to Wendy Shay. “Miss Wendy Shay I’m so sorry for disrespecting your efforts by suggesting your song was probably written by Bullet. I was totally out of line and it wasn’t my place to say something like that without proof on such a large platform like @nkonkonsa. I totally apologize to you and your outfit for the loose talk. Big up and keep on soaring lil sis,” he wrote.
