CAF Champions League: Hearts of Oak drawn against Guinean club CI Kamsar

Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have been drawn against Guinean side Club Industriel de Kamsar in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

In a draw conducted on Friday in Cairo, Egypt, Hearts will travel to Guinea for the first leg of the tie on 10-12 September 2021 then host the second leg in Accra on 17-19 September.

The Phobians are returning to the continental showpiece since their last appearance in 2015 where they were eliminated by Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

The winner of the tie between Hearts and Kamsar will face Moroccan heavyweights Wydad Athletic Club in the first round in October.

The winner of the first-round tie advances to the group stage of the competition which starts in February 2022.
