Ghana FA opens players transfer window on Monday

The Ghana Football Association has announced that the Registration Window for the 2021/22 football season will open at midnight on Monday, August 9, 2021, for Premier, Division One and Women’s Premier League clubs.

Meanwhile, a communique concerning all Regional Football Associations (RFAs) competitions will be announced later.

The opening up of the transfer window is in accordance with the GFA Regulations which makes provisions for the opening of registration before the commencement of the football season.

All participating clubs in the Premier League, Women’s Premier League, the Division One Leagues are expected to complete their signings before this deadline as there will not be an extension.

The window is expected to close at midnight on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

The football governing body also announced an effort to realign the football calendar which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The league season which had been scheduled for the month of June ended up commencing in November following the banned on sporting activities by the government as a measure to tackle the pandemic.
