Emmanuel Gyamfi returns for Kotoko’s clash against Bechem United
Asante Kotoko will have winger Emmanuel Gyamfi available for their must-win League match against Bechem United.
The Porcupine Warriors missed the service of Gyamfi in their narrow win over lower-tier side Asokwa Deportivo in round 16 of the MTN FA Cup in the midweek due to suspension.
The 26-year-old was handed a one-game ban and a fine of Ghc1,000 by the GFA after been caught on camera for an off the ball incident, stamping the foot of Inter Allies’ Andy Okpe when they met in their week 29 encounter.
Having served the suspension, the Kotoko deputy skipper is now eligible to feature for the team when they visit Bechem United on Sunday.
It comes as a massive boost for the Porcupine Warriors since Gyamfi has been one of the standout performers for the club this season scoring 6 goals in all competitions for the side.
Kotoko needs a win to keep the chase on their arch-rivals Hearts of Oak for the league title as they continue to trail them by three points with just two games to end the season.
Meanwhile, Coach Mariano Barreto will not be leading the team as he is currently serving a two-game ban.
