Black Stars: Coach Akonnor to name squad today for two friendlies next month
Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor is set to announce his squad for two friendly matches next month in place of the rescheduled 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Akonnor and his technical team will use the games to further assess players ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September.
Ghana was billed to play Ethiopia on 4th June and play South Africa four days later in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. However, the qualifiers has been postponed to September by Caf due to Covid-19 complications.
The Black Stars opening games for the qualifiers will at the Cape Coast Stadium where they host Ethiopia before travelling to Johannesburg to face South Africa.
