African Alliance rebrands as Amber Securities Limited
African Alliance Securities Ghana Limited, a brokerage firm in Accra, has changed its name to Amber Securities Limited.
The change takes effect on March 1, with the head office on the 2nd Floor of the Heritage Tower in Accra.
Amber Advisors Limited is a wholly-owned Ghanaian business incorporated under the Companies Act to undertake investment holdings and non-capital markets financial advisory services.
The move follows the entire shareholding acquisition from the then-parent company, African Alliance Stockbroking Holdings, in January 2020.
Amber Advisors Limited will offer services in securities trading, investment banking and investment research.
On its website, Amber says it has provided services for firms such as CAL Bank Ltd, Societe General Ghana Ltd, Government of Ghana and Enterprise Group Ltd, among others.
The Alliance Securities Ghana Limited began operations on April 24, 2008, as a subsidiary of African Alliance Stockbroking Holding Limited.
Alliance was given a license to operate in Ghana by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and became a Member of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) in December 2008.
The firm started trading listed securities in June 2009.
