Football fans to return to match venues as government lifts ban
The Government of Ghana has announced the return of spectators to the various football centers across the country.
Football fans have been barred from attending match venues since March last year as part of the Government’s measure to control the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
A letter signed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah stated that all stadiums will be limited to twenty-five percent (25%) capacity and with strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocols.
The move by the government to allow fans back into the stadium will be much appreciated by the clubs as they continue to incur a lot of costs as a result of games played behind closed doors.
