Man beheads mother

Police in the Eastern Region is on a manhunt for a man who allegedly beheaded his mother near Asamankese in the Lower West Akyem municipality.

The man, believed to be in his late thirties reportedly committed the act Monday dawn around 2:00am at Opeinimso, a farming community.

The suspect, Quarcoo, however, took to his heels after perpetrating the crime.

It is unclear what led to his action.

But police and residents have begun a search for him.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased – Adwoa Ayare – has been retrieved from the pool of blood by the police and deposited at the Asamankese Government hospital morgue
