Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale nominated for 2020 MOBO Awards
Dancehall musicians, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been nominated for the 2020 edition of Music of Black Origin Award.
The two arch-rivals are to battle it out for the international award.
The list released on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, has Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy DML, Rema, and Davido as co-nominees of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Others on the list are Master KG, Adekunle Gold, NSG, Afro B, and Wizkid.
The award is slated for December 9, 2020.

The MOBO Awards is an annual music festival that honours the achievements of “music of black origin” including hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
It was established in 1996.
In 2006, dancehall act, Samini was nominated in the Best African Act category and he won.
UK-based Ghanaian artiste, Fuse ODG also won the same award in 2013 and made it three in a row in 2015.
