Black Lives Matter protesters, Trump supporters clash in front of White House
Black Lives Matter protesters and supporters of Donald Trump have clashed outside the American presidency, the White House as results of the country’s election goes down the wire.
Thousands of BLM protesters and Trump supporters gathered outside the White House as the American President announced he will address the nation even before official results are declared.
A number of armed soldiers and police are stationed outside the White House in anticipation of electoral violence.
Security personnel struggled to stop the protesters. On the other hand, BLM protesters have warned that if Donald Trump is elected president again, they will continue to stage protests for several weeks to come.
There is a video showing skirmishes between Black Lives Matter and Trump supporters involved in a brawl.
BLM protesters got furious when their opponents started shouting “All lives matter, white lives matter”.
One person was beaten during the skirmishes. Another video shows a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” shirt making fun of the BLM protesters.
The Police arrested three protesters.
Police said a protester was not removing his car, after which he was arrested. Two other protesters were arrested following a clash with police.
Due to the possibility of violence after the election results, the National Guard has been deployed to 16 states in America. Apart from that, the police in Los Angeles and New York have been firmly prepared to deal with Antifa- a left-wing group that is threatening hell should Trump win.
Black Lives Matter is a decentralised political and social movement advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence against black people.
