9 Premier League venues rejected by Licensing Board after inspection

The Club Licensing Board of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved 4 out of the 13 league venues proposed by various Premier League clubs.

The Club Licensing Board came to these conclusions after inspecting the venues proposed by the clubs across the country.

Eight clubs were granted conditional approvals for their proposed venues with the board set to re-inspect the remaining venues before granting them approvals.

The Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park and Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium are among the ten league centers rejected by the FA.

Meanwhile, the Accra Sports Stadium which is expected to hosts home matches of five (5) Premier League teams, namely; Accra Hearts of Oak, Accra Great Olympics, Inter Allies, Legon Cities, and Kumasi Asante Kotoko received approval.

In all, a total of 85 games is expected played at the Accra Sports Stadium during the course of the 2020/21 season.

Kotoko’s original home grounds, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, has been closed for renovation since March 2019.

The new Ghana Premier League season will begin on Saturday, November 14, 2020 across various league centers.
