Kwesi Arthur impostor gets parody Facebook account verified
Rapper, Kwesi Arthur, has warned fans against a fake Facebook page created in his name that has gotten verified.
Reacting to the verification of the Facebook page which has managed to gather over 159,000 followers, the ‘Woara’ singer pleaded with his fans to help report the account.
The ‘Grind Day’ hitmaker shared a screenshot of the parody account on the Instastory of his verified Instagram account with the caption “Fake!!!!! Please report this Facebook page”.
The Facebook parody account was created in March 2019.
It keeps up with post the singer shares on his verified Instagram and Twitter accounts.
According to the rapper, he does not have a Facebook account.

Parody accounts are not new to the Ghanaian social media space, as public figures are often impersonated to dupe unsuspecting targets.
On October 8, 2020, the Foreign Ministry, published a disclaimer warning the general public to be wary of any Facebook account in the name of the Foreign Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway.
The Ministry also used the statement to caution the public not to accept requests on any social media platform from the said account and to resist attempts by miscreants who seek to dupe them by soliciting funds to process a Ghanaian passport.
