83 students escaped unhurt as Wesley Grammar School Bus catches fire at Kasoa Tollbooth

A school bus transporting some students of Wesley Grammar School caught fire at the Kasoa Tollbooth on Friday, November 28; however, all passengers escaped unhurt.

The bus was carrying 83 students along with five teachers.

In an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Citi News, one of the teachers, identified as Richard Boafo, who was with the students, said they were heading to Ngleshie Amanfro Senior High School (NASEC) for a sporting event when the fire outbreak occurred.

He confirmed that everyone on board managed to evacuate safely, and there were no reported injuries.

“We noticed smoke coming out of the bus, so we asked all the students to move out immediately. Fortunately, all 83 students and five teachers on board escaped safely, but the bus was completely burnt to ashes,” he noted.
