The Wa District Court has remanded into police custody five persons arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of the CEO of Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, Eric Johnson.
The suspects are to re-appear in court on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, while the investigation continues.
The police, in an official statement earlier, revealed that Kumbata Kwaku was the first to be detained to assist with the investigation after the Regional Crime Scene Management Team visited the scene of the murder.
Subsequently, four more suspects whose names were given as Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix and Michael Klugey, all workers at the hotel, were nabbed on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
The other two suspects, identified as Favour Nuobe and Charles Tuoze, also a staff of the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, known as ‘Jirapa Dubai”, were arrested on Monday, February 12, 2024.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Jirapa, Cletus Seidu Dapilah, has placed a GH¢100,000 bounty on the killers of the CEO of the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel.
The MP has assured that any person who will give credible information on the murderer(s) of Eric Johnson will receive the money in full.
