26 World CupQ: Otto Addo commends team work in Ghana’s victories over Chad and Madagascar

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has praised the teamwork and cohesion displayed by his squad in their impressive victories over Chad and Madagascar during the March international window.

Ghana secured a 5-0 win against Chad before defeating Madagascar 3-0, moving them to the top of Group I in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The dominant performances saw Ghana establish a three-point lead over second-placed Comoros, strengthening their chances of securing a spot in the global tournament.

Addo highlighted the collective effort of his players, emphasizing how well they have adapted to recent changes within the team.

“Jordan has done a really good job. We have also reshaped the team, and the team is working together really well. We have shown it in our last matches,” Addo told Joy Sports.

“I think he is the right person to work hard with all his experience.”

With their qualification campaign on track, the Black Stars will now shift their focus to the next round of matches in September, where they will face Chad and Mali.

Addo will be hoping his side maintains the same level of performance as they continue their push for a place at the 2026 World Cup.
