A 23-year-old farmer, Kwadwo Noah, has allegedly killed his pregnant wife at Kwahu Nframa in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern region.
Noah also injured his two-year-old daughter after the murder on his farm.
The incident happened on Thursday, October 12.
It is not clear what triggered Noah’s action.
However, information gathered indicates that after Noah committed this heinous crime, he called his mother on the phone to inform her about the incident.
His mother and some residents rushed to the farm and found the pregnant woman lying in a pool of blood.
Their daughter, who was severely wounded, was rushed to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital for treatment.
Noah, who was subsequently arrested by the Nkawkaw Police Command, is in custody, assisting with investigations.
According to the Queen mother of Kwahu Nframa, Nana Amoakoaa Ogyampa, she suspects Noah was under the influence of drugs and used the opportunity to admonish the youth to desist from using illicit drugs.
