21 more recover from COVID-19 as cases soar to 1,550

Ghana’s coronavirus case count has seen another leap as 271 people test positive for the deadly virus, bringing the country’s COVID-19 cases to 1,550.

The number of recovered patients currently stands at 155. This means 21 more people have recovered from the deadly coronavirus.

Another person is reported to have died, bringing the death toll to 11.

This is according to the Ghana Health Service’s latest update on Sunday, April 26, 2020.

The Greater Accra Region tops all regions with the highest number of positive cases, followed by the Ashanti and Eastern region.

Greater Accra has 1,347 confirmed cases, Ashanti has 69 while the Eastern Region recorded 57.

Regions that have reported cases remain the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Northern, Volta, Upper East, Upper West, Central, Western, North East, Oti and Western North.
