2026 FIFA WCQ: The work ethic against Madagascar was exceptional- Otto Addo

Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, has described his team’s work ethic in its game against Madagascar as an “Exceptional” one.

He said this in a post-game interview after Ghana beat Madagascar 3-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier played in Morocco.

Thomas Partey scored twice and Mohammed Kudus added another goal in the win with captain Jordan Ayew registering a hat-trick of assists to lead the African continent’s World Cup qualification assist chart.

Ghana bagged its second win in as many matches in the latest international window to establish a five point lead atop Group I standings and inch closer to securing qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

While reflecting on the game, Otto Addo, highlighted the work ethic his team exhibited to clinch the win stating’

“The work ethic today was exceptional. We, defensively, were very solid I was happy with that. It was really decisive, the execution of the free kicks but also the positioning in the box, we very happy about that….there is still a lot of work to do but I think we are happy we are in a good position.”

Ghana is aiming to qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the fifth time.
