2025 GHALCA Top 4 set for Kumasi from August 20-24

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has announced that the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament will be held in Kumasi from August 20 to 24 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

This year’s edition will feature the Ghanaian champions, Bibiani Gold Stars, along with Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and Heart of Lions.

The tournament is expected to serve as a preparatory platform ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

Although the format for the tournament has not yet been finalised, GHALCA is currently in discussions to determine the best structure for crowning a deserving winner.

Traditionally, the Top 4 serves as a preseason warm-up, providing fans with an early glimpse of club football. For Bibiani Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko, who are set to represent Ghana in the CAF inter-club competitions this season, the tournament will provide a valuable opportunity to test their strength before their continental campaigns begin.

It’s also a chance for coaches to assess their squads, try new tactics, and build momentum.
