AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana coach Otto Addo unfazed by Sudan draw

Ghana coach, Otto Addo remains confident the Black Stars will qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations despite Thursday’s 0-0 draw with Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The stalemate left Ghana third in Group F, but Addo insisted their fate remained in their control.

Addressing the media after the game, the 45-year-old said they still have their destiny in their hands despite the tough start.

According to him, they will win their remaining games and secure qualification for the tournament that will be hosted in Morocco next year.

“It is still in our own hands. we win our next games and we will qualify,” the former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach said.

“We will do it,” he assured.

In the return leg, Ghana will be hosted by Sudan on Monday, October 14, at the Martyrs of February Stadium.

Kick-off is slated for 13:00 GMT.

After the upcoming game, the Black Stars will play Angola away before hosting Niger in their final Group F games.
