2025 AFCON qualifiers: Accra Sports Stadium to host Ghana’s game against Niger
The Accra Sports Stadium will host Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations matchday 6 qualifier against Niger on Monday, November 18, 2024, the Ghana Football Association has announced.
This match follows the stadium’s recent approval for the goalless qualifier against Sudan in October.
Fans eagerly anticipate the showdown as they watch to see how the Black Stars will respond to the poor performances against Sudan.
Ghana will face Niger’s Menas in a critical match. The Black Stars currently sit third in Group F with just 2 points.
They trail leaders Angola by 10 points and second-placed Sudan by 5 points.
Qualification is no longer in the hands of the Black Stars. To keep their hopes alive, Ghana must win its remaining matches. They must defeat both Niger and Angola. Meanwhile, they need Sudan to lose both of their upcoming games.
Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan needs just a point to secure qualification.
Fans expect a compelling performance from the team as their performances have been underwhelming in the last five years.
