2024 CAF Awards: Karim Zito proud Dreams FC earned nominations
Dreams FC head coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed pride in his team earning four nominations at the 2024 CAF Awards.
The club was nominated for CAF Interclub of the Year, while former captain John Antwi was nominated for CAF Interclub Player of the Year alongside youngster Abdul Aziz Issah.
Issah was also nominated for the Young Player of the Year prize, which features a star-studded lineup of players.
Dreams FC earned a nomination for Club of the Year following their remarkable journey to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup during their continental debut.
“I felt very, very, very excited because when you look at the club and what we have achieved within these 15 years, I think it is something to talk about.
“So I’m very happy; at least I’ve got some nominations. To me, a nomination is even good. Even if you don’t win, being nominated out of the whole lot in Africa is fantastic. I’m very happy for the club and the players.”
The award ceremony will be held this coming December in Morocco.
