2023 Division One League Super Cup: Eight participating teams confirmed for tournament in Kumasi
Eight teams from the recently concluded Division One League have been selected to participate in the 3rd edition of the Super Cup.
The tournament, set to take place in Kumasi, Ghana, will showcase the best teams from each zone in an exciting clash for the coveted title.
Representing Zone One will be the triumphant winners of Zone 1B, Bofoakwa Tano, along with Young Apostles and Eleven Wonders.
From Zone Two, the formidable Nations FC, former champions Skyy FC, and Nzema Kotoko will test their skills against the other contenders.
Completing the lineup, Koforidua Semper FI and Hearts of Lions will represent Zone Three.
The Super Cup, a two-week-long event, will reach its climax on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.
Skyy FC, hailing from Daboase, emerged as the victors in the inaugural edition of the Super Cup.
They secured their title after a hard-fought match against Tema Youth SC at the Madina Astro Turf.
In the subsequent edition, Liberty Professionals claimed the championship, defeating Nsoatreman FC in an exhilarating final held in Kyebi, Eastern Region.
