In a thrilling build-up to the much-anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, some Black Stars players have touched down with fervour, igniting anticipation among fans across the country.
As Ghana’s national team prepares for their clash against the formidable Central African Republic (CAR), the images of their arrival speak volumes of determination and zeal.
The Black Stars will officially open camp today for their final group game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against the Central African Republic (CAR).
Head coach of the side, Chris Hughton over the weekend announced a 25-man squad for the game that has been scheduled to be staged at the Babe Yara Stadium on September 7.
Mark Addo in an interview with Kumasi-based Kessben FM disclosed that about ten players have already arrived to begin camping ahead of the all-important game on Thursday.
“Per the information that I have about ten players have arrived in camp and the rest are expected to touch down before Tuesday,” he said.
The game has been scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT.
In the qualification race, the Black Stars lead the group with nine points, followed closely by Angola with eight points, and Central African Republic with seven points.
The Black Stars need a draw or win to secure a place in the tournament that will be hosted in Ivory Coast next year.
