2020 campaign updates: Akufo-Addo, Mahama sign peace pact
With three days to the 2020 general elections, presidential candidates are expected to commit to a peaceful process as fears of election tension heightens.
President Nana Akufo-Addo, the incumbent on the ticket of the NPP and former President John Dramani Mahama of the biggest opposition party, the NDC, are expected to sign a peace pact today at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra.
Elsewhere, the Ghana Police Service is deploying officers who will be on duty during the election period across the country.
At a ceremony in Accra before departure, IGP James Oppong Boanuh tasked his men and women to do their best to ensure an incident-free election.
Political campaigns are also been intensified by the candidates to secure the mandate of the electorate.
