20/21 Ghana Premier League: Asante Kotoko’s three remaining matches

Although trailing to Hearts of Oak on the Ghana Premier League table by three points, Asante Kotoko has not given up and hopes to win all of its three remaining matches to stay in contention to win the league title.

Last Sunday, the Porcupine Warriors played as a guest to the Phobians at the Accra Sports Stadium in a matchday 31 encounter of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

Falling short to the opponent, Asante Kotoko suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak and hence now behind the team’s bitterest rivals on the league table.

Despite the three-point gap, the Kumasi-based club has not given up on winning the league title.

In the final three matches of the season, the team has set sight on picking all nine points.

Winning all three will keep the Reds in the race but they can only win the league if Hearts of Oak drop four points from their final three matches.
