Two people have lost their lives, and two others are in critical condition after a serious accident at Santasi Apire Himang.
The accident happened early Friday morning, around 5:30 a.m., when a tipper truck carrying sand was heading toward Himang.
Reports say one of the truck’s tyres burst, causing the driver to lose control. The truck then crashed into two private cars, each carrying two people.
Officers from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service at Sofoline quickly arrived at the scene after receiving an emergency call.
They worked to remove the victims from the wreckage, confirming two deaths and rescuing the injured.
The two injured people have since been rushed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for urgent medical care.
Meanwhile, the bodies of those who passed away have been taken to the morgue.
