Source The Ghana Report

It’s been over 144 hours since the Electoral Commission (EC) declared the 2024 election results at various collation centres.

The outcome from some constituencies in the Greater Accra, Central, Ahafo, Eastern, Western, Bono, and Ashanti regions was shocking as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) managed to snatch over 15 strongholds of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Although it was set out to be a battle between two giants, the NDC vanquished their opponents in what Ghana’s boxing legend Azumah Nelson would describe as a father-and-son fight.

For the first time in history, the NDC has won over 180 parliamentary seats against the NPP.

At the time of filing this report, 12 constituencies were still under contention. Four were constituencies that had never been won by the NDC but were initially declared as seats won by the party.

These constituencies are Dome Kwabenya, Okaikwei Central, Tema Central and Nsawam-Adoagyiri which are excluded from this list.

Below are the constituencies that have never been won by the NDC but turned green in their favour in 2024.
