On his part, Dr. Yirenkyi chairman of the Council thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for giving them the opportunity to serve, “We are grateful to His Excellency Nana Addo, and we assure him that we shall do exactly what he wants us to do. He has lifted the image of the university from one level to another. The university is a very young one with a very small student number. We are talking about nearly 2500 student population. And that is what we want to see double by 2020. At least to 5000 and then we will be sure we are running a university. And also funds are needed to actualize our dream because without the funds there is very little we can do. We have our new site which is yearning for a start. We need to start it.”
