Eight persons, including a one-year-old, have reportedly died in a ghastly accident at Poyentanga in the Upper West Region.
According to eyewitnesses, the Techiman-bound vehicle attempted to dodge a pothole and somersaulted.
Eight out of the 17 passengers died on the spot while the others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The scene has been described as bloody and horrific as limbs and other body parts could be seen lying in and around the wreckage.
Meanwhile, the police and other emergency service personnel were at the scene to assist the injured and to ensure they were promptly transported to the hospital for medical care.
The bodies of the deceased persons were also deposited at a nearby mortuary.
This is the second accident to record multiple deaths in the past four days.

On Sunday, August 25, a dreadful accident at Ataabadze on the Cape Coast-Takoradi highway claimed at least 14 lives with many others also sustaining severe injuries.
The dead included a baby.
A collision involving a sprinter van, a tipper truck, and an articulated truck caused the accident.
According to eyewitnesses, the articulated truck attempted to overtake the tipper truck on a sharp curve, causing the fully loaded sprinter van, travelling from Accra to Takoradi, to crash.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service in Cape Coast and the Ghana Police Service quickly rushed to clear the road.
The deceased persons and the injured were transported to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
